Argentina Unveils World's Tallest Messi Statue: 26-Meter, 70-Ton Tribute Breaks Global Record

The massive sculpture stands 26 meters (85 feet) high and weighs around 70 tons, making it the largest representation of Messi ever built. The monument was unveiled in Cutral Co, Neuquén Province, and was designed by renowned local artist Aldo Beroisa after nearly two years of planning and construction.

The statue overtakes the previous record-holder in India, which stood at 21 meters, cementing Argentina's place as home to the world's biggest Messi monument. The giant structure shows the Argentine legend in national-team colors and serves as a lasting tribute to the man who led Argentina to World Cup glory in Qatar 2022.

Located along Argentina's busy National Route 22, the monument is expected to become a major tourist attraction, drawing football fans from around the world to the Patagonian city. Local officials described the project as both a celebration of Messi's legacy and a way to showcase the region to international visitors.
